A man of few words. He is easily perceived as the difficult type to strike a conversation with, given his apparent dislike for idle chit-chats and the unintentional rough, sometimes intimidating tone in his speech that sends some people on their way. Outside of work, he does enjoy staying behind his carefully built walls, seeing not many reason to meddle with other people's lives nor to mingle. In most interactions, he is generally hard to please, achieving it might prove to be a lot of work, and even more is needed to change his view on a subject. Flexibility is never his strong suit, as he, by nature, dislikes change in general and fickleness is a sure way to get on his bad side. He stubbornly sticks to things and ideas, even more so on traditional values, while any opinions of others are likely to be questioned or outrightly rejected regardless of the validity. Admitting mistakes is an even harder pill to swallow, it takes a lot for him to extend an apology, especially a verbal one.
Despite his difficult personality, he proved to be a reliable man at work. Security becomes his foremost considerations before taking each step. His patience and dedication gets the job done, but cooperation is always something to be questioned from time to time. Although he doesn't reject the idea of working together, his choosiness plays a big part on this matter due to his doubtful view on others.
Born and raised in a family of three on the farmland of Bratkowice, it's only natural for him to take in its value and customs as he grew up. The boy was quite a handful on his own. He made more enemies than friends, and the boy was often left to spend the day in his lonesome, when he's not out tending the fields with his father. The boy quite enjoyed it though, getting to learn a few things and benefited from the activity, including some improvements on his mood. However, as time goes by, the boy gravitated more towards his mother's field of expertise; healing practice caught his interest and he was often caught sneaking a peek inside her stash of herbal remedies. Although it surprised her at first, his mother is more than happy to give her son the needed support, thus letting him study under her tutelage.
He is much better as a teen, having learned not to let his emotions get the best of him and his temper leveled down. He was never interested in joining the Empire's military force and instead choosing to pursue his interest and made a considerable amount of progress in his studies. His enthusiasm was high and it could only grow. It was then his mother decided that it is time to leave him in the hands of a much more experienced teacher, later arranging him to further his studies under the care of her long-time friend; a well-known traveling healer who was visiting the city. Although it was never easy, the long years spent training proved to greatly improve his overall performance and knowledge as a healer.
It was during their visit to the Capital that he received a news from back home. His father had collapsed due to exhaustion and may need some time to recover. Luckily, nothing was life-threatening, but still it sparked worry inside the young healer since age is always a concern when it comes to his parents well-being. This ultimately led to his decision to part ways with his mentor. At the age of thirty, Wilhelm went back home, this time having decided to stay for good and help out more in the farm to lessen the old couple's workload, giving them more time for the rest they deserve.
Two years has passed since his return to the farmland, and trouble comes knocking on his door (although he's not the only one on the receiving end). The blight has plagued his crops and the man had to do whatever he could to cope with the situation. Although he managed to keep it together by the time the blight was dispelled, he still lost a part of his work and there was nothing he could do about it. It wasn't a pleasant experience but mulling it over wasn't exactly his favored option, so Wilhelm kept tending his field, this time making sure to put on extra care.
>> Specializes in animal & plant healing.
>> Sometimes he takes on healing job for extra money.
>> His elvish blood has thinned out; his generation no longer inherits the pointy ears but still retains some of the features.
>> The cigar-like thing is actually a rolled bundle of dried medicinal herb of his own recipe, sometimes he makes it for personal use.
