Appears distant and unsociable, sometimes rude at first. Nathaniel is rarely the one to strike up conversation, preferring to only speak when needed and definitely the one who likes to do things at his own pace. Generally observant and quick to notice things, but is most likely to keep it to himself. He is not one to be easily angered or irritated since he tolerates mostly anything and everything, opting to let things slide and avoid getting into unnecessary conflicts or trouble simply because it's too tiring for the boy to deal with....except when he finds someone extremely irritating. Values honesty to a certain degree, he doesn't like to sugarcoat things, voicing his opinion in brutal honesty; a way that might hurt other people. Sadly, often he is not so emotionally sensitive to realize it.

Less-academically motivated than most of his Ravenclaw friends and stands among the laziest students. He doesn't really care about his grades despite his hobby for reading. Knowledge tops grade in terms of importance for him as he gaining more knowledge and experience is much more valuable and incomparable than a mere grading written on a sheet of paper. He is actually gifted with high intelligence and displays remarkable talent in wizardry, especially spells as he is ­able to perform spells with high efficiency, but rarely has the will to put his brain to proper use and prefers to use spells for his own convenience.

Nathaniel was born in London to a British doctor Frederick Osborn and French singer Sylvianne Osborn. Growing up in a lively family of six, Nathaniel oddly developed a quiet and aloof personality-a trait not shared among his siblings- and quickly became the oddball of the family, but being the youngest of the four Osborn siblings earned him all the attention and affection from his parents and his much older siblings. His parents are more than proud of him. As a gifted child with high intelligence, his outstanding reputation at school made him the center of attention and he received praises and words of admiration from his friends and teachers, but Nathaniel didn't seem to enjoy the attention he gets. Nevertheless, he lived his childhood life like any other kid.

When he was 8, something very unusual happened. An annoyed Nathaniel accidentally made his alarm clock combust to flames, which actually terrified him that he ran to his parents for help. Surprised at their son’s newfound ability, they decided to keep it a secret while hoping that one day their son will be able to control his ability properly. As time goes by, a curious Nathaniel began experimenting with his new ability which mostly ended up in failure.

On his eleventh birthday on February 2nd, a mysterious messenger came to deliver a letter, which was revealed to be his admittance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, much to his family’s confusion and surprise. Having learned that there are more people like him, he decided to attend Hogwarts with his parents’ approval. He spent his days trying to adjust with his new environment, getting to know things around him, and of course, being sorted to Ravenclaw (and snorted upon knowing that their common room is located at the very top of the tower). He also began spending most of his free time in the library reading about things he should know about the wizarding world, eventually making his curiosity even bigger resulting in him reading more and more books until he fell asleep and trying out new spells in secret at night. This quickly became a hobby of his, as he prefers to spend his time getting to know this new world he has just discovered through books to socializing, making him more distant than he already is.

As time passes and years advances. the distant boy managed to make some friends. Spending more time with them than he actually thought he would. Still it proves to be difficult for him to try and open up, but the boy still made a considerate amount of effort to get around... 

  Sixth year was surprisingly the busiest time for him. Nathaniel found himself juggling between his study and both new responsibility as a Prefect and Quidditch Captain which proved to be tiring for him. Sometimes it leads to him falling asleep in classes, often missing the important part of the lecture. With the decreasing amount of free time he found it hard to frequent the library for some catching up, eventually leaving him struggling in quizzes and exams. But slowly the boy began to adjust to his busy schedule, and learnt to put an extra effort in things he does for a better result, forcing him to try and take things more seriously.

What happened at the end of his sixth year left quite a bitter taste in him, but he was never the one to dwell on the past for too long. Moving on to the next year, he stays the laid-back guy with a renewed sense of responsibility _{and better grades}. While he managed to forge bonds with more people, the thing that happened to him last year made him to be more alert. But strangely enough, the guard he put up seems to crumble in the presence of a certain Gryffindor...
